Ain't exactly Skype but it'll do :)

wow wow wow where do i begin first of all christmas was amazing mostly because i got to see your bright smiliing faces haha you guys look awesome!!! haha nice to see dude to still looks like an old man in dog years haha but yeah im so glad that you guys are doing awesome!!! and healthy :) sounds like you guys had a lot of fun going through the festival of lights ahhh i love the festival of lights theres kinda a festival of lights here because theres always fireworks going off in the night haha so christmas was good for us we got to hang out with the zone leaders while they talked to there familys and drank hot choclate stuff with a family in the ward :) its kinda hard to find people to teach on christmas because they are all leaving or with a lot of famliy but the christmas eve was fun to because we had a dinner with famliy that are members :) there awesome we had barbaque chicken with beans tortillas and salad :) :) was delicous :) before christams was fun to haha kinda a funny story the day before christmas we were contacting people and this one guy invited us into his house and stuff and told us that his apastolico i think our something like that anyways he just railed on us and elder hernandez was pulling out scriptures left and right showing how wrong he apastolicos are haha super funny and he would always say stuff like you guys are just trying to preach about joseph smith and the gospel.of joseph smith and i got so sick of him saying stuff about joseph smith so finally i was like hey hermano was does my name tag say hes like uhhhh i dont know and uhhhh well i dont know how to read and im like haha you cant read what you dont want to hermano this name tag says the church of jesus christ so stop saying this is the church of joseph smith haha he didnt respond hehe, but we just went like 10 mins more explaining how his church is wrong becuase he was trying to fight the bible with us but my comp knows the bible like he knows the back of his hand haha so sick, but we left in peace so thats good haha something super funny my comp said is pulled out the scripture that talks about the stick of judah and stick of ephraim because the guy doesnt belive in any other book than bible and so my comp was like hermano whats the stick of judah and the guys like well the bible and than my comp asked whats the stick of ephraim (book of mormon) he said he didnt know and my comps like THAN GO AND ASK YOUR PASTOR haha its so bad to fight but this one time was super funny im sorry, but elder hernandez was on a roll anyways back to the eamil mom i hope that with the photos that i send you you are saving them :) just in case anything happens to my sd card just make a file on the computer maybe and save them there thanks :) haha after talking with you guys remember how you talked with the relief society pres. after talking she was like wow your famliy is beautiful haha i was like yeah i know and that at church yesterday i heard her talking to the other sisters in the ward shes like yeah i talked with elder tanners famliy they are a good looking family haha just thought i would share that with ya keep up the good looks everyone :) haha  so we dont have a whole lot of investigators this week but we do have some awesome ones :) 

Sergio he is like 25 years old has 2 kids and a wife and hes the one that we helped him was his car and he was asking golden questinos like all churchs have the bible how can we know the difference he didnt make it to church but we are going to check up on him this week to see hows he doing with reading the book of mormon and the pamphlet of the restoration we gave him :) 

Paulino... haha well pualino haha hes a good guy hes like 65 years old and has attended church meetings in the past and has been taught by the hermanas but has just about forgot everything :/ so we are teaching him everything again he came to church and i got to sit next to him and we talked about john deere and stuff because he works for a farm equipment company that is a competitor with john deere haha 

Javier this guy is a champ we are helping the zone leaders teach javier he is missing a leg and has a cast on the other and right now is in a wheel chair, and came to sacrament meeting usually his sister gives him a ride to the church but this time we couldnt so me and my comp had to hurry to his house and walk him in his wheel church to the church which was like 8 blocks away but it was super funny because hes a kinda old dude but super funny with a lot of stories :) 

Hector we contacted hector outside of his house the other day and taught him just a lil bit about what we do as missionaries just made small talk get to know him and hes like 60 years old has a wife and i was like hermano why do you like living in guasave and he said the muchachas (girls) hahhahaah super funny but were hoping that he comes to church next time he didnt make it this time, his wife is super catholic but we are going to try and soften her up haha

Alright family what is happening?! 

A very merry christmas from me to you guys i hope youre enjoying the snow in utah becuase the closest thing we have to snow here is the flour they use to make  tortillas haha but really i hope you guys are enjoying the christmas season and drinking plenty of hot choclate :) thats super cool that gram and gramps are going on that cruize. i think that seeing the mayan pyrmaids  and stuff would be flipping awesome they are super lucky to be going. thats crazy that jordan and krystle are going to be heading out soon flip its going by fast. but thats super cool. payton and syd should be getting out school soon right for christmas break right? hopefully triple t is staying busy and its plenty cold so they can get some units out :) oh man i wouldnt mind if you guys sent a water heater down here oh my goodness haha i dont know whats worse Dengue or showering with cold water...ahhh like mexicos hot and all but right now the nights and mornings are pretty cold and we didnt have electricy for like 2 or 3 days this week and we showered with cold water you know when something is so ridiculos that all you can do is laugh haha when i would shower i would be like doing this laughing crying thing haha super funny i just try to think of the triple t show room with all the fireplaces on haha thinking warm thoughts helps, haha but yeah we got the electricty back now so no more tears in the shower, and also i guess i havent even talked about the Dengue. Im doing much better thanks to all your guys prayers im serious i know that you guys are praying i dont know how to explain it but its just a feeling that there is someone in a different place praying for you and i thank you guys so much for doing that because it really does change everything, Dengue was fun and all but im excited to get back to work this week haha, we contacted a less active member who is the dad of the wife of one of the counselors in the stake quite the relationship there i know but we talked with him saturday and it was super funny becuase he reminded me a lot of grandpa walker because we got there and he brought out a big bag of peanuts and so we started chowing on those and talking about sports. haha reminded me of when i would mow his lawn and after go in drink some water grab some snacks out of the jar and start talking about sports, eagle, barack obama, or whatever else we would talk about haha, but after all this we taught him a lesson and he said he would go to church with us. we told him that we would stop by in the morning to pick him up and go to church so sunday comes and we go to his house and his wife is outside and were like hey are you guys ready for church and shes like or we arent going today we are painting our house today were like ahhhhh come on its only one hour out of your day. but she was pretty persistant and just said that they would go next week. kinda sad but hopefully we get them next week :) other than that we  havent had  a whole lot of lessons becuase the sickness but this week is going to be a lot better because i  can walk haha. so i still dont know the plan for christmas and talking to you guys but i got a family that has an internet and a tablet that i can use for skype so i will be able to skype this christmas, in the next email could you guys send me i dont know like an acount that i can use and the name or number that i should call for skype i dont really know how skype works so maybe you guys could help me out haha. next monday im not going to email because we are going to have p day wedesday :) so i will write wedensday and let you guys know the time im going to call and all that :) this christmas should be pretty sweet :) we are going to have a ward christmas party on like the 23 i think should be fun i think the missionaries we have to give a presentation or something like that sing a song do a skit who knows and than on the 24 i think we are going to have a party with other zones close to us like los mochis and all the zones in Sinaloa that means that theres going to be a lot of missionaries in one place should be fun haha and im going to be able to see Elder Flores at the party becuase he is in mochis so that is going to be cool to see him. and than on christmas we will be talking!!!!! whooooo haha and after.... president says that we have to work haha but itll be good i think we are going to try and find familys in the ward that we can teach on christams so thatll be good :). dad was asking how many missionaries are in this area and the answer is that there are 6 missionaries in this ward. 4 elders and 2 sisters. its a pretty small ward theres only like 80 that attend every sunday but its cool theres a lot of cool members :). my comp is still flipping hyper haha he is so chilango hes always singing when he talks its super funny but sometimes can get kinda old the problem is though that i think im starting to do it too. haha i hope im not chilango after this transfer its funny the first few times but after its just anoying haha. its kinda funny the people here when we contact them and get to know them they always ask how old i am and im like how old do you think and they say like 23 or 24 im like holy flip im 19 chill haha its kinda funny. the people here are super funny i love it when the people try to talk to me in english haha super funny and hope you guys got the pictures of us on the bikes haha that was super funny, but the funny thing was is the people didnt give us weird looks because its normal here to cram like 2 or 3 people on a bike. im hoping this christmas season i get to learn how to make tomales because its kinda funny here the closer to christmas season the more the sale tomales and im not mad about that at all theyre sooo good haha so im going to ask a member to teach me how to make them, you guys got any fun plans for christmas you going to go to the temple and see the lights, i think me and my comp are going to by chirstmas hats and buy some candy canes and pass it out to people should be fun. i hope that you guys have an amazing week this week, i know this email was super random and all and sorry that not a lot happened this week but im hoping that this week is better... actually this week will be better. thanks so much again for the prayers and everything family i love you guys so much and this church is true and christ is our savior. amigos que tal como estan haha this week was pretty stellar haha well mostly today because today was p day!!!!! almost as good as christmas haha but it was so cool because we left our house at like 7 to go play soccer at a church in the center of obregon haha our district played and it was super tight haha my comp really is a proffesinal haha so good but i found out im not to bad haha ill be cocky there but yeah everyone asked if i played in high school or something so thats always a good thing when the latinos complement you on your soccer skills haha. well the familia serna did not attend church this past sunday :( :( but we are going to check up on them this week and continue to teach them hopefully we can rekindle the fire and get the mom back to church and have the kids be baptized we have a baptism for december 6 his name is luis he has 13 years. and knows a ton about the church the problem is his mom. we hope she lets us follow through with the baptism because in the past he has had batism dates and she has said that she wants to wait more time. but we will see :) and we have found some new investigators ones name is diana the other beane they are both very good and diana is awesome we taught her mom in the last lesson and they were both really receptive it was super cool so we are going to try and set up a fecha de bautismal and get them to attend church. haha so we had "halloween" this week haha its kinda funny here. they dress up and everything and its halloween but idk its different for some reason i cant really explain it haha but it was funny me and my comp were walking down the street at night and there were this big group of kids trick or treating and they come runnning up to us and are like trick or money trick or money trick or money haha and im just like kids listen were missinoaries we dont have money haha they just went on there way and after i told my companion that we should have gave them pamphlets and pictures of jesus and stuff haha, and dia de los muertos was this week tambien holy smokes haha its a lil bit interesting everyone runs around with like skull masks its a lil creepy but hey its cool i guess haha and haha we ate at this one members house and the dad was super funny haha he was a jokester kinda like parky haha but he asked me what something was in english and i told him and hes like you need to stop speaking in english your not in gringoland anymore hahahaha so funny, gringoland ahh missionary humor is super weird i know but it keeps me smiling. this week has been super fresco (cool) well for them it has its only like 85 90 and its true it really is different haha it feels super good but still hot haha. family i want to say how much i love you guys thank you for always being there for me and helping me you guys have influenced me so much and ill always love you guys i hope everything is going good for my brothers jord, wes, payt, and nolan haha and my sisters krystle and sydney and of course my awesmoe parents mom and dad love you guys so much :) have an awesome week. love you

Scripture this week: mosiah 17 in this chapter it is abinadi and kind noah abindadi has taught the people of kind noah and king noah about christ and that they need to repend the king and his servants do not like that and they threaten to kill him. they say in verse 8 that if he takes back what he said about christ they will not kill him, but abinadi is more faithful than that i love verse 9 and 10 because he bears testimony that what he has said is true and will not take it back abinadi is put to death but dies with a very powerful testimony of christ and will be blessed in the life to come. a lot of times we think that blessings from the church come in this life only, but we know that there is life after this life yes we are going to recieve blessings in this life but i think even more we will recieve more blessings in the life to come if we are obedient, faithful, stand up for what is right and testify of our savior. now i dont think any of us in these days will be put to death if we share our testimony with our friends, but when our friends co workers or anyone invite us to do something against or church  are we going to give into their offer or stand tall like abanidi and prove that our love for christ is worth more than things of the world... this was worded terrible i know but i loved this chapter and i read it in spanish so i probably didnt understand everything right haha but i know that if we are faithful like abanidi and stand tall we will recieve the grandest of blessings and we will not have room to recieve it i hope you all understand what im trying to say haha sorry and i love you all so much thanks for everything 

 

Happy Halloween this week Pumpkin Heads :) 

haha was a very good week this week thank you sooooooooooooo much for the birthday wishes :) I had exchanges with the zone leaders on Monday and that was way fun haha his name is Elder Katchener and he is from Utah haha sooo funny I haven’t laughed that much in my entire mission haha it was probably just funny because i could understand him cuz he was talking in English, but yeah we contacted a lot of people that day and found this one guy his name is Reuben and he used to go to our church and everything listens to the missionary’s and wants to be baptized but moved houses so we are going to hop on that and hopefully get him to church and everything like that. it’s really pretty hard to get a baptism we can’t just teach the five lessons and dunk them in the water. the investigators need to attend 5 sacrament meetings before we can baptize them... it’s a mission rule along with now we aren’t  allowed to drink coke :( haha but we also are still working with the family Serna and they didn’t attend church this week because their grandpa was sick and they had to stay with him speaking of which we visited them Saturday and the grandpa wanted a blessing cuz he was sick and all and with elder Flores I would always do the first part of the blessing cuz its short and easy but this time elder Sauceda made me give the actual blessing haha it was... interesting probably wasn’t very smooth but I tried haha and he seemed pretty content with it :) also we are working with a Hermano Antonio his name is and he is kind of  a funny dude he is really interested in the church and what we believe the first time we met him he took us in quick and asked us to cast out the evil spirts of his house so we just said a prayer haha. And he liked so we have taught him a couple lessons and hopefully he will attend church. :) so this week we had church tour as a district we made Jamaica it’s a type of juice and gave it to people as they passed... and we had a tv set up in the chapel and cleaned the baptismal font which by the way is not very fun... because there was  about 20 dead crickets and cockroaches floating around in about an inch of water so i had to get in there and dish em out haha pretty sure five of them were alive but who knows anyways so we got the church all cleaned up and pretty and no one showed haha literally no one showed so we went to the streets trying to heard people in we are all yelling free water!!! trying to get people and no one wants to go haha so we are standing around the church with 5 gallons of Jamaica and we see this homeless guy who is going through trash cans trying to find food and we all look at each other and think money this guy is money so the other elders in my district contact him Elder rojas and Elder De la Rosa haha and they contact him and we are just waiting for the guy to start walking towards but they finish talking and he walks away and so were like hey Hermano!! Free aqua!!! And he says I WANT COCA!!!! (coke) haha so funny were just like alright Hermano next time haha and after this we are cleaning up and getting ready to go and elder rojas ask me to come help him clean up a room and so we walk in and the whole district is in the room and they start singing happy birthday haha and they had a cake and a balloon and it was great haha super nice it was 2 days after my birthday but still so nice!!! I didn’t know what to say...literally because I don’t know Spanish haha but i just said gracias a thousand times. my actual birthday day was alright haha we had exchanges with in the zone and i was with elder rojas haha he is so cool and it was  a lot of fun we found this one guy who practically wrote the bible haha he is so smart and knows a ton  we spent an hour talking about the Catholics and how they are wrong he has 26 scriptures that proves the Catholics are wrong haha so funny and were like well hermano you know there wrong will you try our religion and he says that his religion is the bible.. So we are going to work with him haha, but it was fun. after that I was feeling kinda sick so I had been a little sick the whole day but know I had a ton of congestion in my nose and throat and had body aches so came time to go home and I could barely walk I hurt so much and we get to the house and call the mission mom and she tells me to take some pills and go to the dr. in the morning so I take some stuff and so my b-day was alright haha I was sick during it but it’s alright. President and his family called and sang to me so that was cool haha. went to the Dr.the next day and found our I have the flu.... and a wicked head cold so he just said drink lots of water so that’s what I did I’m feeling a little better now but still have a ton of congestion and sound like I don’t have a voice box haha which makes my Spanish even worse but no worries :) today went and got a haircut... haha I don’t know what else to talk about. haha oh funny story so when i was on exchanges with Elder Rojas it was like 8:45 at night so we are making our way back to the house and we run into another borracho haha (drunk) we are just making small talk and elder rojas sees a member so he goes to talk to him and leaves me with the borracho haha and so I’m just like Hermano we would love to visit you sometime and teach you about our church so is it alright if we take your number and direction and visit you sometime hes just like oh yeah thats chill so i pull out my planner to pretend to take his info haha and when i pull it out he grabs it wanting to look at it so i just let him take it hes looking at it and with out saying anything just walks away haha im just like hey hermano and chase him and take my planner and hes super chill cuz he’s drunk as poop but he hands me his business card and I’m saying good bye and everything and I’m like ok hermano we going to stop by your house tomorrow and he doesn’t say anything takes his business card out of my hand and walks away haha I don’t do anything but I walk up to elder rojas and he asks me if I got his info and I’m like well I had it but then he took and walked away and elder rojas just started laughing haha it was pretty funny its always fun to talk with the borrachos haha. also elder rojas slept at our house during exchanges and he said that i talk in my sleep and I talked to him in Spanish haha kinda funny  anyways sounds like you are all doing good :) kinda scary about nolan be sure to let me know :) is syd likking cheer or is it wearing her out? and looks like Payton had  a lot of fun  at the dance and duck hunting with gordo and Weston. that’s super cool that Rustin is going back out good for him he has a lot of faith and is going to work miracles :) haha Weston bought a boat!!! super jealous better stil be here in two years haha and that’s cool Jordan went to cali. for a presentation what a stud and Krystle is being the good mama of lil dex :) haha mama and papa bear seem to be doing good to huh :) well I’m super jealous of your guys good weather its still flipping hot here haha always will be but that’s alright haha love you guys soooooooooooooooo much and thank you again for all the birthday wishes i had a really good day :) thanks for being my family I love you all so much

P.S. Mosiah 4:9 is a really good scripture it’s the one that talks about how man cannot comprehend all that God can comprehend. The way I want to apply it to my life is like this. All lot of the times when we have a trial or hard time in our lives we find ourselves asking the question why me? I think this scripture helps answer that we may not know why we have the problem or trial but if we endure it well and seek gods help it well turn into a thing that makes us stronger or helps us I hope that makes sense because it makes sense in my head haha love yall let me know if you need anything :) 

 

 

 

First Transfer

6 weeks in the bag holy smokes!! haha went by a lil fast... and slow ;) haha but yeah was good and I have learned a lot maybe not as much in the spanish side of things but poco a poco lil by lil hopefully I will forget English and have Spanish become my new language :) I actually really wouldn't mind that happening haha :) Mom none of the people here believe me that I had 10 inches of lucious hair will you send me a good picture of me with my hair haha just through email is fine and I can print it off here. speaking of pictures!! I got your package the other day, and the letters from Weston, and Cally and I gotta tell ya thank you guys soooooooo much you dont know how much of a lift up letters are :) that is so cool that Jesse wants to serve a mission he will do awesome just tell him to keep doing the small things read scrips, pray, attend church and always look for ways to serve someone.  Thank you so much for that lil picture book you gave me mom haha made me smile.... really big haha :) sounds like everyone in the family is doing good :) tell Syd not to get to caught up in cheer, and to make sure she has fun with it :) and Paytons working on his eagle huh? right on right on :) haha be sure to let me know what his project is maybe you guys could come down here and do a service down here than I could particapate with you guys ;) haha so yeah my new companion I got his name is Elder Sauseda he is way tight, ya know why? because he is a proffesional soccer player thats why he played for the tigeries I think thats there name.... haha before the mission, hes cool but its kinda hard because I'm supposed to be getting trained still in my area by my old comp Elder Flores, but he got transfered and Elder Sauseda is now here and I'm like training him now on the area, haha its kinda backwards but I dont know we will be relying on the Lord a ton because I dont know the area or members as well as Elder Flores so I'm going to do my best to rembember where everyone lives and try and teach my comp. haha but I dont have a lot this week oh we found this awesome family who we cant wait to start teaching :) its way cool porque the mom has been baptized but is less active and she has three kids a daughter who is 17 two sons who are 12 and 10 and they arent baptized and she is interested in having them be baptized!! so we see this as a big window of opportunity. I really hope it all works out :) and hope they can attend church with us :) oh yeah church this sunday... I have to give a talk... I'm kind of freaking out haha mostly because I dont know spanish and dont know what I'm going to say but yeah... gotta do what ya gotta do. haha love ya´ll soo much and hope you all have an amazing week and let me know if you guys need anything :) I love you guys

ahhh whoo i dont have to go to Guaymas today!!

yessss so happy because I actually had a p day today, but wow what a week and what great conference we had so many great talks. I really enjoyed the talk by Elder Bednar and of course Pres. Thomas S. Monson I liked how he talked about following the footsteps of Christ but not simply just walking in them but performing the same actions that Christ performed in those footsteps, its hard to explain how i understand it but I really enjoyed. I also really like M. Russel Ballards talk with the boat and river rafting how true is that talk in this day and age with all the confusion and corruptino of the world.  haha Quentin L. Cook about technology was pretty good ;) but also something that i noticed in this conference was there was a lot of talk about parents and the role they play, and i really liked the talks about the strippling warriors and just want to say thanks mom for alwasy teaching me the right thing and not just mom alone but dad to you guys have alwasy helped and taught me the right principles and i know for a fact that i never was alwasy and angel and so im super sorry and im going to say it right now and get it over with you guys really did no best and were alwasy right haha thanks for everything love you guys :) but what a great conference i cant wait to get a english ensign magazine and read em again.  but yeah i was able to watch in english haha i walked into the chappel kind of sad becuase i knew i wouldnt completly understand the talks but i sat down and after the first prayer and song a latino missionary came up to me and is like quiere ingles which means do you want english and i was like si si si si haha hey took me to this lil room where all the americans were and i walked in put my fist in the air and mumbeled merica´ haha super funny but yeah me and elder williams were super stoked to be able to watch in english haha but all the spanish speakers that spoke we watched in spanish for fun and i understood a lil bit but not nearly all of it haha, lil bit more time. So ya´ll had mutual at sandy beach huh that sounds fun and sounds like payton is doing good in welding already on tig thats pretty crazy!! and weston went duck hunting didnt have to much success huh well of course not i wasnt there to actually shoot the birds. dont worry big brother two years and we will actually have birds to take home ;) haha and sounds like jordan had a good time in romanina pretty crazy the food haha and sydney still cheering, kind of funny how she used to be the little shy girl and now she is standing up in front of the whole school cheering people on atta girl syd!! haha so this week we were not able to talk to victor and we are going to have to drop him he just ignores and avoids us super sad but hopefully in time he will come back, we are working on finding new investigators and transfers are next week, so we will se how that goes.  oh also i went to the hospital this week.... haha :) the presidents wife said i have to go because my acne... i went to the dermatologist there and she barely looked at my face and was like yeah you have an infection haha so thats cool, but she gave me some drugs and stuff and im taking those so hopefully those help, now mom im sure you and krystle are freaking out right now wondering what drugs im taking so ill tell you the names of one because thats all i remember haha its call EXEL, im taking one of those every day and than another pill twice a day and i have to wash my face and put a gel on my face twice a day.... its lots of fun ;) hopefully it clears up :) but if you see some money gone on my debit card its becuase i had to buy some medicine :) but other than that im good :) haha oh and another crazy thing happened.  so i know this is going to sound really weird and all and believe me it was and please dont freak out but this actually happened two weeks ago i didnt tell you last week because i felt like you would just be scared, but i think im going to tell you because its kind of  a cool story soooo, me and elder flores are walking down the street one night this street we know really well we know everyone on the street and we alwasy visit with everyone but we passed this street and we were saying good night to everyone and we get to this one house who always have people outside visiting with eachother they are really nice and super funny most the time they are just guys drinking and trying to talk to me in english, so we walk past say good night but as we walk past we here a guy yell hey!! soo we stop and this guy starts walking towards... trys to walk towards becasue this guy is soooo drunk he gets to us and i can just smell the beer on him its soo bad i can barely breathe.  as soon as the drunk gets to us the people visiting pack up their chairs and go through their gate and inside their house and lock their door so im like oh boy this guy has been causing some kind of trouble... but hey starts talking to us and he is in our face asking us a bunch of weird questions like whats your fathers name?  i said Stephen haha ...and do you like Nike? mostly questions to me because he saw that i was american. then he asks who we are and we explain that we are missionaries for god and his eyes get all big and he leans in about 5 inches from our faces and says well im a missionary for the devil, he starts yelling and pounding his chest, and he stops instantly stares at me gets right in my face and says ive killed a missionary like you... i about passed out elder flores or me didnt know what to say so the guy just kept talking he took his pointer finger and put it to the side of elder flores neck looking at me saying i cut him here than moves his hand to the back of elder flores head and says and i cut him here, than i see him put his hands behind his back and hes playing with something in his back pockets and me and elder flores are thinking the same thing like hes got a gun or knife or something and he brings his hands to the front and hes got nothing so were good but than he reaches in his front pockets and i hear metal heating metal and so im like holy smokes im going to die right here me and elder flores start backing up and he just follows, we stop and he stops he starts to pull his hand out of his pocket and i see something silver he pulls it out all the way and its a flipping lighter and pesos , never been so realived in my life !!! but he says that missionaries are the same as dogs and all this stuff and hes killed both missionaries and dogs so me and elder flores are ready to go now and stuff and so we try to explain we gotta go home to sleep now but he just keeps grabbing our sholders telling us to stay, telling us we need to come to his house and stuff, this is about an hour this guy has been talking to us and he starts freaking out screaming devil... satan and than says in the name of the devil i rebuke you or something like that and then hits elder flores in the chest and things are getting flipping weird now so i whisper to elder flores "listo" which means ready?and he says yeah so the same time we just start walking away and we dont stop he yells at us and all but we just kept walking elder flores said that what happended was the first time that has ever happened to him hes been here about 7 months and i just had it happen in the first 3 weeks so thats tight haha but now i have a testimony that the missionaries are protected!! church is true the story probably didnt make sense i have to type really fast but ill try and explain better next week.. I love you all so much and thanks for the prayers emails and everything church is true stay strong.

mom, i cant say thank you enough and i wish i had at least twenty minutes to write you but i really dont have that long of time... and im sorry i have been in guaymas all day yet again... i did however get my visa taken care of so thats good :) but i have some bad news about victor he has started smoking again and picked up some bad habbits and is now avoiding us so that kinda sucks, but we are going to keep working with him because he has came so far in his life, and will continue to grow. Just because we mess up and fall down doesnt mean we have to stay down, with courage and faith the lord will always forgive us and pick us back up when we fall down :) Alma 26:12 by the way i got the letters from you guys and i cant wait to read them tonight, i have not however reiceved any packages, but its ok becuase they really are hard to send and i know that, because i have talked to a missionary here from st. george and he is going home in two weeks and he said during his mission his mom sent 5 packages he has recieved one its a really bad deal, but its ok if you dont send packages. really mom it is :), mom im so sorry about this email and i know i need to do better but its hard when you only have like 15 mins to write and read emails.  my spanish is still bad haha, but im going to just try and as cheesy as it sounds simply smile :) haha because right now thats all i can do for these people, that and try and sing their hyms which by the way is hard haha, have payton check his email, i sent him and email and hows syd doing with the cheerleading, she liking high school? wheres payton at in welding? ill always be a better stick welder ;) haha and ask weston if the dove hunt is still going and how did with that, anyone draw for a turkey,or deer hunt this year? . thats super tight jordan is going to romania, we have had people go everywhere spain, germany, mexico, romania pretty good stuff haha, let me know if you guys need anything and ill do my best to try and help you haha its hard when im in a different country. Hows matthew doing? Hows he pulisphers? Tanners? Roberts? haha hows spanish fork? ;) by the way im about i think two or three  miles from the church i believe haha at least thats what it feels like when we walk haha. i love you guys soo much and thanks for everything thanks for your prayers, they help more than you know, and that footsteps in the sand story is definatly real for missionarys because right now i know for fact im being carried by my savior, as we all are. im sorry for not sending pictures, im using a bad computer right now so its hard to get them uploaded. pretty cool we got conference this week, haha too bad i probably wont understand it haha ;) tenga fe right? ;) well times up and now i gotta go my fingers are on fire from typing but its worth the pain i love you guys and i pray for yall as much as you pray for me :) keep smiling church is true and we have a savior who loves us.

Hey Family

hey family!!!

sorry about yesterday and me not emailing you guys!! I was in guaymas all day trying to figure out my visa and stuff, we had to get on a bus at 6 and travel for only hour and half to two hours to guaymas, while there me and Elder Williams had to get our visa pictures taken so we got that done and than went to the place where they had our visas, we get there and they have Elder Williams but not mine... haha no worries though i just have to go back next monday... Kinda rough because monday is pday but do what ya gotta do right ;) Be sure to let Gallo know that i got his email and that it helped a lot and that i say "Muchas gracias" ;) haha so i got some most excellent news everyone!!! Hermano Victor commited to baptism!!!! yeah whooo right? haha he has come such along way with changing his life, hes been on drugs an alcholic, and has really turned his life around he has a very strong testimony that he and all of us are sons and daughters of our heavenly father!!! and that Heavenly Father will alwasy helps us, we have taught him part of the plan of salvation and will be finishing the lesson today and we have taught him the commandments and the word of wisdom and he is doing all the right stuff to prepare for batptism! he came to church this last sunday and was greeted very well with many of the ward members!!! oh i forgot to tell you when the baptism is haha its the 11 of october so me and Elder Flores are so pumped for that day!! because its the day before transfers and elder flores might be leaving so he would be his last baptism, all good stuff todo bien!! we continue to work with his hermanas Margarita and America, its hard to get them to come to church because they both work on sundays. so we are trying to help em out there!! haha so we went to this investigators house to visit with him his name is felipe he is 20 years old and way cool, he wants to live in american specifically utah really bad and so we got on google maps and i showed them exactly where i live haha they are all like..."ordela ordela tiene muy casa bonita ordela muy grande" haha hey asked about work there and i talked to him about triple t and he said is willing to work for ya dad ;) haha i also told him he could live with us ;) hes a funny kid and we hope he continues to grow in the gospel, but its that same kids family who has the dog that peed on my bag so thats the only down side haha. Also something funny i have kinda noticed around here is that everyone here has these jack daniels hats haha like seriously everyone haha im thinking about buying one just for the fun of it haha, food has been pretty good we might be having turtle here some day a member said he wanted to make me some so that will be cool, haha ate a hot dog in a tortilla the other day that was exciting! haha but hey guys i dont have a whole lot of time to write and this compture keeps shutting off, ahhh but just know all is good and hot here in mexico, and thanks for all the support and love and prayers and everything i definatly feel it. Independence Day in Mexico

whats happening everyone?! 

haha for me im in a rainstorm right now, and when i say rainstorm i mean rainstorm, because here when it rains its a flood or its nothing. there are two types of weather hot and rainy. haha its fun though. but yeah the rain is crazy the streets flood and cars will drive through like 5 inches of water.  its super fun haha, kinda a funny story me and elder flores were crossing this highway thing with a mediator (i think thats what it is called) in the middle and we were on the mediator and we were trying to cross and it was raining and the street was flooded and everything, so we found a spot were the pavement was higher and more dry, and now we just had to wait for a gap in the cars, and crossing here isnt like the USA haha cars dont stop for pedestrians. Pedestrians stop for cars and if you dont your getting railed haha these cars are flying haha, like i was standing in the road once and was waiting and i start getting a head start on the car thats about to pass me so i can cross faster and like i thought they would move over a lil but didnt and legitly skimmed me haha pretty sure i peed a lil, but anyways thats just a fun fact thats not the funny story, so we are on the mediator, and we see a gap and we start to cross, but we run into a problem, we get about 8 feet from the sidewalk and its just flooded i mean like 7 inches haha deep and were in the middle of the road and we see this pimped out low riding blue chevy turn the corner and head our way, and me and my comp both know this guys gonna hit the puddle going 60 and drench us so we start panicking and we cant decide to either go back to the mediator or tip toe through the water, my comp hurry and runs back to the mediator but i had already going through the puddle so the cars like 100 feet away now, and i jump for the side walk make it and run up a lil ways and as i do the chevy hits the puddle and the water barely misses me haha i looked in the window as the guy pased and he was laughing with his buddies so i just through my hands up in the air like "what up son" haha and so thats that me and my comp were both laughing way hard. something else i see here is there are a ton of motorcycles haha, and the best thing is they latino families will cram people on them, cuz its the only transportatoin they have haha. like the other day i saw 4 people on a dirtbike like we have haha i tried so hard not to laugh when i saw them drive by haha best thing ever, but they also have these inverted trikes that people sell food from, a lot of people have that as an occupation, they drive around on their bikes and sell tortillas, doughnuts, ice cream and its pretty cool. a member bought us a doughnut the other day and it was pretty good! haha the people here are super funny like the other day we were talking with this guy and he was im pretty sure telling me about how he crossed the board and used tunnels and all this stuff and how he got the crap beat out of him by boarder patrol and he talked about how great the US is and how we make so much money haha, and then he talked abuut chinesse people and it was just a weird funny experience haha. speaking of the US i cant believe this week was 9/11 thats pretty cool i tried explaining it to my comp and he didnt really care and then we went to the house of investigators and they noticed i was american and talked about 9/11 and they basically think US is messed up and we staged it. i had to pretend like it didnt bother me but inside i was freaking out. the weird thing is people love to come here to work, but i guess it makes sense because they really do get payed way good in the US, like what i make in a day or two at triple t is what they would make in a week, but they are super humble and nice people and love to have fun with everyone, we have given a lot of blessings for the sick in just these two weeks that ive been here we have given like 8 or 9 i think but its defiatly cool, becasue the peoples faith in them, and it definatly pays off because they work for sure. one downside here are the flipping cockroachs man those things are big and they are disgusting!!! ahhh flip i hate them. i was in the shower and i open my eyes after washing my hair and their is a big honken one on the wall ahhh i hate them and then i was laying my bed and i look up and there is one above my head on the wall and me and my comp were running around the rooom trying to kill it because flip they are fast and they are scary, but yeah all is good. haha the bus rides here are always fun, because the drivers are crazy and the buses are always cramed and your basically bus surfing the whole time and trying not to knock other people over! also i got to play basket ball at mutual the other day and that was fun haha latinos play a lil diferent but it was still ball! our invstigator hermano  Victor is doing good but we went to his house yesterday to walk to church with him but there was a note on his door saying he couldnt make it kinda sucked but we are hoping for a baptism on sept 28 i think so lets hope for the best he knows its true and has made a lot of changes in his life!!! Welcome to Mexico

holy smokes! it is so hot here!! like its crazy how hot it is you sweat so much and you either have to be standing in front of a fan or be hot its crazy and they need triple t down here for the AC. so my misión pres. is pretty cool, but him and his wife speak no english haha its really hard to commmunicate and all, but its alright and i got my new comp today his name is Elder flores he is from mexico city and only speaks spanish so we dont talk a lot haha but i try to, and ahh idk its crazy its so hard being here im not going to lie, but im just praying it gets better espically the language. you dont realize how important something is until its taken away, last night we had saw a really cool lightning storm and i guess they are supper common, but there not like a normal lightning show its like there is constant strikes and the whole sky was lit up with light, and then in a matter of seconds there was a wind gust that was crazy and our misión pres didnt have room in his house for us so me and Elder Williams had to get in a taxi and go to a hotel and the pres didnt come with us, he called us in the morning and told us to get breakfast at the hotel so we walked to the diner in the hotel and just got fruit and juice cuz thats all we know how to say haha... than our new companions picked us up and me and Elder Williams went difernet ways. also haha mom i shouldnt be telling you this but we were coming into ciudad obregón and we were in our misión pres car and we pass an intersection and see this black tacoma with about 3 guys in the back decked out in like swat armor carrying m16´s haha they apparently are the good guys but its definatly crazy, and we had this saftey presention at the pres. house and we talked about all sorts of good stuff haha, but dont worry mama im with a good companion and he watches out for me and we speaks for me because i dont know what im doing haha, also it rained last night, and its so crazy cuz when it rains here in a matter of mins the sidewalks are flooded, but dont worry i dont need boots no one else has them you just walk around the flooded áreas, and im good on wáter. its hot but at least its okay to drink, we went to members house tonght for dinnner and you guessed it we rice and beans, but we also had chicken haha it was pretty good, he told me that he would make me tortise some time. also another weird thing they dont stop for pedestrians and the bus system is crazy haha, they are pretty good drivers and they love to tailgate, also ill do my best to fix my camera haha its pretty high tec and all, sorry aboutt the short email. i just dont have a lot of time, because its not even my pday. before i go want all of you to know that we have a friend everywhere all time we just have to ask him for help and he will give us help our father in heaven and our savior jesus christ. so i guess two friends actually haha. Family! como estan? i hope you guys are all doing great it sure does sound like you are! Sounds like Payton and Sydney had a good first week of school. Hopefully the teachers took it easy on them and didnt give them too much homework! Have Payton tell B-Lack i say hola/hi/hello/whatever he wants to say haha. Sydney has Mrs. Pouslen huh?... Well thats good... kinda ;) haha shes alright just get on her good side and dont make her mad cuz than she will end up hating you like me... haha but she is a very smart lady and very sarcastic, but do not be afraid to ask her for help or ask a question, because she will make sure you get it. Ask her if she remembers me haha. So i thought i would let you guys know that Elder Shakespeares dad is doing good now!! Prayers were heard and most definatly answered!! He got our of relapse i think and is now in remission is how he said it!!! So thank you very much. He is doing much better now as well, and he still continues to be one of my favorite is such a solid and funny kid haha! Mom! haha i laughed so hard when i heard the story about dad and the Dr. hahahaha thank you for the entertainment. and tell him buenas suerte haha with the next appointment. i love it haha! Temple was good this week we missed the bus so we didnt have time to do endownments! but instead we were able to do sealings! Which was very cool and the sealer gave us a lot of information and answered a lot of our questions! Jake got chosen to be Oshi baba huh? haha he will do good haha also mom i did get a hair cut its a little different, but mostly the same haha they really dont care about hair the way i would want them too, but its alright ill look good no matter what ;) haha im glad you guys had a good time at education week at BYU sounds like there were a lot of really good talks!! illl have to see if i can get on find the talks on LDS.org!!! Thanks for that quote too about missionary work!! So Curtis and Jodee got called to singles ward huh? haha that will be fun for em! That rainstorm a couple nights ago was pretty crazy!!! am i right? holly smokes i thought it was a earthquake the thunder was so loud and close!! It was pretty tight we got up at like 5:30 this morning to do laundry and we walked down into rain tree and like there are just puddles everywhere!! and everything is flooded! got to try out my umberella and i love it haha its deffinatly a good thing to have when walking around in the rain! Also ran into Austin Price and that was awesome also Jade neilsen So im sure your wondering what the big news is that i told you about earlier in the first email! So here we go... Drum roll please... I GOT MY TRAVEL PLANS!!!  We were checking the mail friday and Elder Shakespeare my DL is like Elder Tanner you got travel plans! it felt like i had humming birds in my stomach haha i had a mix of feelings both nervous, excited, scared, ready, not ready, you name it i felt it haha, but i am super stoked to go!! So here is the travel plan on Sep. 1 i will wake up at 3:30 AM (Way to early i think haha) but anyways i get on a shuttle with my comp elder williams and other people going to mexico that day and fly to SLC airport, we take off from SLC at 7 and get to Los angeles at 8, we than have a 6 hour lay over and we will head to from LA to Hermosillo, Mexico from 2 to 4 get off hermosillo and get on another plan that will take us straight to Ciudad Obregon that flight will be 5 to 5:50  

Anyways i cant wait to get out there and i know that the only spanish im going to know when i get out there will be si, comida, aqua, hace calor haha but im excited to serve and i know this church is true, hey by the way im super glad that you guys got to check out those videos they are pretty amazing arent they!! The gospel blesses our lives so much!! Life will never be easy but the gospel will make it easier! specifically Christ will make it easier! I read about the stripling warriors mom and how they were taught by there mothers and im definatly in the same boat haha i owe you and dad everything so thank you so much!! Love you guys a ton and thank you so much for the support, love, and prayers!!

Week 3...Check

Wow!! WOW!!!

I cannot believe that i am already half way done with the MTC haha it is so crazy it really did feel like just yesterday i was giving my last hugs to you guys!! Time has flown and i have learned so much!! and i just want to say thank you so much for all the support you have given me, it helps a missionary quite a bit to know that he has loved ones back home.  Who think of him! i just want to say thank you also for the prayers, i can definatly feel a spirit when i get discouraged.  Which believe it or not has happened once or twice ;) haha but really i feel all of your prayers and helps a lot so thank you and know that i pray for all of you as well!! Weeks really are flying by sometimes i want them to slow down and sometimes i want them to speed up! haha its an emotional rollercoaster i guess you could say! The spanish continues to grow and what not.. I still need to improve though, but i find my self praying and i use spanish words a lot haha its funny ill say familia and companero and salud and JesuCristo haha its cool and i have definatly felt the spirt while here both in learning more about the gospel and learning the language.  Our investigator is doing good her name is Vennasa and she is kind of  a tough cookie.  She first came out saying she didnt believe in God at all and how why would we have hard times if there is a God who loves us, and we gave her a good lesson to think about and she was able to change her mind so that was good and i cant remember when exactly but she was wondering why she feels so alone, and i specifically told her that she is never alone, that as hard as it seems we will never be alone, because there will always be our Savior who has felt exactly how we feel. and i said this " a lot of people think of life as a race, with Jesus Christ being at the finish line or the goal,  but it is not like that,  our savior is not waiting at the end cheering for us, but is with us the entire time! walking with us, running with us, and carrying us , and will always help us in this race we call life" she was crying, i was almost crying ;) haha and it was awesome i shared the scriptures Ether 12:27 and talked about Jose Smith in carthrage jail in section 121 of D and C i think thats the right scripture... haha anyways she said she felt really good and we told her that was the spirt and she cried more and we taught her to pray and she prayed for us and said she would pray tonight. It was awesome! Anyways enough of the sad stuff right ;) haha. como estan mis hermanos Jordan Weston Krystle, baby Nolan, Payt, and Syd how are they. be sure to thank them for the letters they mean so much and help a lot!! Mom you were wondering what the names of my comps are... Im with Elder Williams and Elder Lords they are really good guys and we have a lot of fun together haha. Hows cheer coming for Syd? haha payton better stay on that 3 wheeler and off the 250 ;) haha i dont want anymore damage done to it ;) just kiddin gim sure your a good rider. Haha mom i know exactly how you feel with the questions haha i get on the email and go blank its knid of funnny haha. but for your questions i do not have travel plans yet, we should get calling cards i believe, and size of ecko shoes i dont know im not wearing em right now haha but ill let ya know soon!!! I dont think i want another suit case unless you think i need one.  and rain boots i dont think ill need my danskos should work for that... unless you think otherwise. Thats cool to hear about the garden i would love some fresh corn on the cob right now haha. We just got another district and our zone now consists of like 34 people its crazy! Haha and we are getting 20 more next week we will be the biggest zone in the MTC we are gonna have a lot of people!! work is definatly progressing!! Its awesome to be at devos and see so many people trying to work together to get people to one place (eternal happiness/heaven) church is definatly true. hey i got some videos i want the family to watch together whether family night or sunday they are on mormon messages and lds.org i love them. the first one i think is on mormon messages its called The Hope of The Light of Christ or something its awesome it really shows that God works in mysterious ways and there is always a way back, and we are loved by God always no matter what we do.  I really like the video on LDS.org Because of Him as well, its such a powerful video and helps us apreciate christ!! its so great!! haha well i want everyone to know how much i love them and how big of role they have played in my life, i love my family and you guys have all shaped me into what I am today. I dont know where i would be with out you, im so grateful for the hard times and the good times, because the hard times is what makes the good times great and makes us stronger!! Know that i know this church is true and i hope to be able to help a family in Mexico find out that they can be a happy family like mine and live forever together in complete happiness!! i Know that change is real and that we do fall short no matter what we do we will always fall short, but there is someone there to pick us up we just need to offer our selves to him and he will lift us up. Again i love you all so much and please please please check out and try to find those videos. Im pretty sure that the hope in light of christ is the top one on the page and its amazing!! His dad just got diagnosed with leukemia and his having a hard time both the dad and Elder Shakespeare, but me and some other Elders were able to give him a blessing so it was pretty cool. MTC Life

Buenas tardes familia! Whooo who thought Pdays were easy! Like im still exahausted and this is supposed to be my day off.  haha ive been running around. Anyways the Spanish is getting better slowly yet surely.  haha im going to try a little bit harder and study more.  So day to day plans ya wannna know mom. ummm we wake up around 6 and get to breakfast about 7 than start class at 730 we study till 1030 where we go to gym and from there have lunch afterwards and have class again at 1245 we study till 430 go to dinner come back at 515 study till 9 have  a district devetional till like 10 than we have to meet with our district leader sometimes and we have to be in bed by 1030 and than we get to do it all over again pretty awesome! haha not a whole lot of free time, but its alright. We go to main campus on P days and sundays and tuesdays for devos (devotionals).  yes mom we do have fridges, and believe me you have sent me plenty of goodies haha, im at eating very well over here a little too well, but ill get into that later. Thats cool that you met Joshs mom hes a good kid, i dont think we need anything, but we are doing good. I have seen Jade Nielseon and he seems to be doing pretty good, haha tell Jenny not to worry hes happy to be here.   he just said this is way different than what he expected and i just told him you get you used to it haha. I have also seen one of my good high school buddies Colton Shepherd.  Thanks for sending me those emails of my friends like mont, colton, landon, and the other guys hopefully ill have time to email them. That sounds so fun going to snowbird and riding the alpine slide. Im rememner when we did that it was super fun.  Hope you guys had fun and sure looks like you did from the pictures. You guys want another four wheeler? haha you guys would get somehting like that just after i leave haha thanks a lot ;) What teachers do sydney and payton have this year for schoool. Haha its about time Sydney finished harry potter haha told you Dumbledore dies ;) lo siento hey so im really sorry about these non descriptive and short emails i only get an hour and so its hard to rack my brain of everything ive done. and im a bad typer haha.  I think im going to try and send more letters it might be easier cuz i know that these emails suck probably haha.  Hey i do have a question about the laundry mom.  Im probably going to sound stuipid but im desperate haha so im using detergent for whites and colors and stuff do i need to be using bleech for my whites as well? We got a new district this week because the old one left there are 12 new elders and they are all going to Mexico and they are super chill and im getting to know them and along with really well. So i got some more bad news you know that flordida kid i liked. he had to go home.  He had some stuff he didnt realize he had to take care of here it was devistating for everyone. he was a good kid hopefully he will come back out. on a less sad note we have been teaching two investigators that are just our teachers but play parts as investigators haha its fun, and we also get to do skype calls with investigators and teach them on skype. So you know how i said earlier the food here is treating me good.  haha it really is i get a doughnut every meal and ice cream every dinner and i have about 3 plates of food every meal haha.  yeah i gotta lay off i think, cuz i realized something while at the temple today.  Which was something ive never realized haha.  So the first week i was here i got a size 30 pants when i went to the temple i tried them on and they were tight the whole session so i thought next week ill get a 32 so last week i got a 32 fit perferct! felt so good haha, but this week i got a 32 like last week and they were tight!!! I checked the size like twice to make sure it wasnt a 30 and it was indeeed infact a 32.  So i had to go back and get a 34 haha, and they fit... I knew i gained weight but not that much, haha i dont think its as bad as it sounds.   Im sure its because i just ate a big meal... hopefully haha but yeah im at eaitng good here so no worries.  Thats too bad to hear about seth hall. hopefully it will get better for him. how is wes cloward doinig? I forgot to tell you guys that on tuesday i went up to Salt Lake to get my Visa and stuff it was fun to walk around the city, and i used to think that utah is all mormons no way haha there is seriously work to be done everywhere so me and my companion tried to talk to people, just make friends and small talk and stuff. mom as for the questions you had for me.  I think i would like another pair of ecko shoes, but not right now ill have you send them to me a week before i leave, and ill get you the size and model and everything, i think i will use my dansko shoes as my rain boots. I am not really home sick, i do miss home a lot, but not enough to take me back haha im out here for a reason and im not gonna come in just cuz im a lil uncomfortable. and YES MOM I DO MISS MY MOM!! HAHA I MISS MY FAMILY TOO BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!! Thanks for all the prayers everyone i can definatly feel the love from my family even though we are in different places! keep up the good work everyone and have fun. ¨dont let your praying knees get lazy¨ haha love you all thanks again for everything.

My dearest family, 

How art you guys!? Mom what the heck are you thinking? sounds like you trying to make a bomb out of canning green beans?! are you okay?! what happened give me some details haha.  Hope you are okay and hope the green beans are okay! ;) So I do not take a shuttle everyday only on Sundays and Tuesdays when we have devotionals and stuff at main campus.  So i am in the Wy-View apartments and having study and class time in Rain tree... I think haha i still dont know where i am.  All i know is that i can see west mtn and it makes me sick, because i want to be up there riding my dirt bike... haha 2 years and than ill be able to rev the engine again. So my Dansko shoes are doing pretty good, but the salesman was NOT kidding when he said they are clogs haha they look like clogs, they're heavy like clogs, and they smell like clogs (Dont really know what clogs smell like but im sure its bad) haha. but they are durable suckers, but I do like the Eckos as well. How was syds trip to Colorado? She have fun she stay safe?! What quilt are you and Syd Thompson gonna do. sounds like you guys are getting to be good friends makes me happy hearing that! So payton is missing me huh? knew he would ;) just kidding well tell him i miss him too and all our late night conversations about big trucks and exauhaust pipes. have him try and stay busy with work, its good to work as much as you can while you can i miss working for Triple T the work im doing aint the same as tearing down equipment or making manual holders, instead its studying in a class room all day haha but its alright because it came with the job i signed up for.  Never in my life have i ever been so excited to go to bed!! Always feels so good.  Are Dezlee and the one dude getting married in the temple, which one if so? So i got some bad news. My companion Elder Hatch from Idaho left this week.  He left on Tuesday, it was a bad deal me and him had been going to meetings with our branch president for like four days in a row, and eventually we had to go to the MTC president on main campus which was a big deal, and the day after that he told me that he would be packing his bags and going home :( I didnt get into a lot of detail as to why but it sounded like he just didnt feel ready, and i could kind of see that, because he would never study either personal or companion and he didnt want to have compaion prayer at night or participate in anything so he was just kind of going through the motions.  Bad deal but i think he really wanted to go home.  I got an email from him today saying he is doing better and is planning to go to a community college in Idaho i dont know if he will return though :(.  but yeah on a lighter note remember that one lady DIana i talked about being our investigator.... Yeah shes not an investigator haha. We taught her four lessons and asked her to be baptized and she declined, but like the next day we walked into class and she was, at the front and she is all smiling and is like "Hola Elders!!" Turns out she was just playing the part of an investigator and would end up being our teacher, haha kind of funny but not really cuz she declined us about baptism.  Her name is Sister Haycock and she is the Haycocks from our ward grand daughter. She was even at my farewell, because she was visiting them haha small world right? So i got pictures, but i cant upload them :( its not working ill keep trying and hopefully it will work. my hair is getting pretty long i need to get a haircut here soon. How are things going at home? Hows church? HOws life? Lawn mowing? talk to me haha i need to know about the world.  Haha funny thing i saw a hot air balloon one morning while walking to breakfast and it made me super happy, because i knew that there were people outside of the mtc haha like i was seriously running after it my compainions thought it was pretty funny and i was just making a big deal out of it. That Florida kid cheers me up as he does every day he has a new joke every day haha. What the heck?! you guys went to the hot pots? haha how was it? see any naked hippies? haha ive seen em up there before. Also thank you guys so much for the letters, and packages, and dear elders.  They have been working the dear elders are a same day thing i get that letter same day you send it.  Its good :) but the packages and goodies were awesome thanks a ton mom.  Hey tell the cousins and uncles i wanna hear from them! haha but mom if you get on my email and copy all the contacts from like my missionary friends and send them to me through email that would be awesome, because ive lost like all of them. Anyways not a lot has happened lately besdies my compaion. Oh and with that being said i am now in a trio with the other two companions who are in my district and the same apartment.  Its cool i get along with them better anyway, because they are willing to study and pray and everything and they actually talk to me. Thanks again for everything and the support and im sorry if i dont email everyone i only got so much time know i love ya'll and you guys mean so much to me really.  Love you guys

Hola mi familia

Hey everyone! 

Hows it going back in the good ole' Spanish Fork area.  Things aren't to shabby around here haha, but my P-days will be on Saturday! Me and my zone just got back from the temple it was really nice to get out of the MTC for a bit, and I could see Utah Lake from the temple and thought of you guys boating on it without me :/ haha but no worries if you do go boating at least send me pictures ;) so I got a really cool zone apparently before my district got here there were only like 5 missionaries in the zone haha, but now there is 17 so quite the jump!! The five that were here before us leave next week.  All of us are learning Spanish so we are always trying to talk to each other and stuff the Spanish is coming along fairly well haha mas o menos.  We have people going to Mexico and Spain in our zone my companion Elder Hatch is going to Ciudad like me! and there are four others so its pretty cool. Elder Hatch is a cool guy he is from Twin Falls Idaho.  Plays lots of sports and so we get along fine when trying to decide what to do for exercise. Haha there is another kid in our district who is going to Mexico, but is going to the Monterrey East mission haha this kid is from Florida, and picture the kid from "Up" Russel the boy scout ya know? yeah picture that kid as a  missionary and thats what he looks like he is about 5'8" and 200 lbs haha he legitly looks like him too!! haha he got black hair and the whole look going.  When we were introducing ourselves on Wed. (Oh and hes got a really good southern accent I think im even picking some of it up) so he was talking about his life and stuff and the teacher said so what do you like to do? and this is what he said " I huaaant anytang dat waaalllk.... Except huumans" hahahaha I tried so hard to keep my laugh in haha, but hes been telling me all about Florida and how great it is hes like "theres no air up here!"  and "Why we living in a bowl of mtns" The kid makes me laugh so hard his name is Elder Wallquist.  The food here is pretty good too, we are on the west campus and living in Rain Tree.  The food here isn't as good as the main campus, but it does alright.  Also!! where is the Creamery Ice Cream?? im not seeing any haha.  Talk to Teresa about that!! Thought of Payton this week saw some BYU workers welding on a hand rail and thought of him haha.  How was Fiesta Days? Did Syd and Weston do good in the parade? I bet they did! I could hear all  yalls fireworks.  haha made me a lil home sick but i just covered my ears with my pillow and went to sleep! So apparently a really big thing here is Dear Elder its like you send emails to them and they print it off at the MTC so you get a letter same day i dont know you guys dont have to do it and i dont even know how it works, but everyone here loves it! I got a note saying i got a package, but I havent picked it up yet so whoever sent it... Muchas Gracias!!! My teacher's name is Hermano Write.  Haha he is a pretty funny dude swear the guy is running off of 5 red bulls everyday! he is just like a lil energizer bunny he just keep going and going and going!! I learned how to say prayers and bare my testimony in Spanish so thats been cool, also we were able to teach a investigator on our 2 day.... IN SPANISH!! haha im sure she understood every thing me and my comp were saying, but we meet with her again on Monday.  Apparently im the street baller around here. haha everyone asks if I played highschool ball and I say no and there like "naaaahhh come on man.. Well you must be a street balla" (Only the black kids say that haha) Also the Florida kid always talks about how he kills crocs and snakes and all this stuff.  He has a "boom stick?" haha its a sitick with like a shotgun barrel on it?  I dont know he dont really make sense. but Im doing good mom to answer your question.  i have run into Vince Winder from Salem, Alex Varela from MM, oh and Elder Austin Seamons haha he is still crazy as ever!! I hope you are all doing good and pray always.  Keep writing me! I love to hear from all of you, and ill do my best to respond.  My address for the MTC is...
